Training course
Construction OSH (COSH)
A 40-hour online, self-paced Construction Occupational Safety and Health course covering OSH fundamentals, construction hazards, HIRADC, inspections, emergency preparedness, accident investigation, Safety Officer responsibilities, and development of a Construction Safety and Health Program.
Introduction
The main goal of Occupational Safety and Health is to prevent workplace accidents and illnesses. The supplied COSH course framework explains that workplace health and safety hazards can be addressed through OSH laws and standards, OSH fundamentals, hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk control.
Hazard-identification methods identified in the course framework include Job Hazard Analysis, safety inspection, Work Environment Measurement, and medical screening and surveillance. Risk controls include elimination, substitution, engineering controls, administrative controls, and Personal Protective Equipment. These processes are collectively presented as Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Determination of Control, or HIRADC.
The framework also covers measures for managing incidents and reducing their impact, including workplace emergency preparedness, the Employees’ Compensation Program, and accident investigation and reporting. These elements may be organized into a formal Construction Safety and Health Program.
This document preserves that course-source framing and does not independently verify the percentage.
