Introduction
Emergency Preparedness and Response is a two-day webinar designed to help organizations prepare for, respond to, and recover from workplace emergencies. The course introduces a structured approach to identifying credible emergency scenarios, assigning responsibilities, establishing communication and evacuation procedures, coordinating response resources, conducting drills, and improving plans after exercises or actual incidents.
Participants will learn how emergency planning connects with occupational safety and health, security, fire prevention, first-aid coordination, business continuity, and organizational resilience. The course emphasizes practical planning tools that can be adapted to the size, hazards, workforce, and operating conditions of the participant’s organization.
Why This Course Matters
Emergencies can develop quickly and may place people, property, operations, the environment, and surrounding communities at risk. A written plan alone is not enough. Assessment and Evaluation
Participants may be evaluated through quizzes, emergency scenario analyses, planning exercises, drill-development activities, participation, and an Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan outline or improvement action plan.

Module 3: Emergency Organization, Communication, and Coordination
